Stress in the workplace is a common point of concern in today’s world. A new survey had reported that nearly half of the British employees are experiencing severe mental health issues in their present job. Only half of them were found to discuss the issues with their employers. Even a Deloitte study in 2017 showed that mental health issues cost UK employers between £33 billion and £42 billion in every year.

Considering the seriousness of this issue, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, would be launching a website to improve the employee’s mental health. The project name ‘Mental Health at Work’ was disclosed at an event in Bristol on 11th September 2018. This site offers blogs, podcasts and documents for the users to gain information.

This website launch follows the past work for the mental health campaign named Heads Together in 2016, headed by Prince William, Kate and Prince Harry.

Paul Farmer, the organization's chief executive, said "Now is the time for a step change in how we think about mental health at work. All employers need to make it a focus and support their staff. We know that employers want to do more and are starting to see mental health as a priority, but often don't know where to start. The new online Mental Health at Work gateway will change that.”

Prince William said, "while work can provide a great sense of fulfillment, it can -- at times -- be a significant source of stress and negatively impact our mental health."
