There are several diseases which may not be so harmful to humans, but they can become deadly to other animals. African swine fever is one such example.
Reports of the country’s first African swine fever case in China’s Liaoning province sparked increased inspections at pig farms and markets and beefed up the scrutinizing of hog transportation.
On Monday Romania’s national food and health safety authority reported the outbreak of African swine fever in southern Tulcea and stated that all pigs, over 44,000, would be euthanized.
