Recently, Shandong New Era Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Lunan Pharmaceutical Group, received a drug registration certificate for Tegafur Capsules (Viconda®) issued by the Food and Drug Administration of Pakistan (DRAP) , marking that the product has officially obtained market access in Pakistan and can be sold and commercialized there.
Tegafur capsules are a compound preparation composed of tegafur, gimeracil, and oteracil potassium. They can inhibit tumor cell proliferation, induce tumor cell apoptosis, enhance the effect of chemotherapy, and reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. They are mainly used to treat patients with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic gastric cancer.
During the product's market approval process in Pakistan, the registration team strictly adhered to local regulations and scientifically and rationally prepared technical documentation, ensuring the product's successful approval. This provided local gastric cancer patients with a more efficient and accessible treatment option, and laid a solid foundation for subsequent market access and commercialization cooperation for other anti-tumor products.
Established in 2017, the International Drug R&D Center serves as a window for Lunan Pharmaceutical Group's internationalization.
