Recently, the domestically developed long-acting anti-respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) monoclonal antibody, ritvirabimab injection (trade name: Newdox), was launched in Jinwan District, Zhuhai. This is the world's first long-acting anti-RSV monoclonal antibody with 9 months of protection data after a single injection, and it was independently developed and produced by Zhuhai TechnoMed Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
RSV is one of the most common pathogens causing lower respiratory tract infections in infants and young children. The risk of infection increases significantly during the autumn and winter seasons. It is often associated with diseases such as severe pneumonia and bronchiolitis, and poses a particularly prominent threat to premature infants, low birth weight infants, and infants with congenital cardiopulmonary diseases.
