On August 12, Nanfang Finance News reported that China Biotechnology Services (08037.HK) issued a voluntary announcement stating that on August 11, 2026, the company entered into a legally binding master collaboration agreement with Stella Pharma Corporation for the development and commercialization in China of Steboronine®, the world's first approved boron neutron therapy drug. The agreement is divided into two phases: development and commercialization. In the development phase, the company will be the exclusive agent to submit regulatory filings to the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to promote NMPA approval of Steboronine® for head and neck cancer and subsequent meningioma indications. In the commercialization phase, Pengbo (Hainan) Boron Neutron Medical Technology Co., Ltd. will act as the exclusive domestic agent, and the company or its designated entity will act as the exclusive general importer/distributor. The initial distribution rights will be valid for ten years after NMPA approval, automatically renewable for five years upon successful completion of the project. This collaboration relies on the Pengbo Hainan Boron Neutron Hospital, which is already in trial operation under the company's umbrella.The flagship project (patient treatment will commence in March 2026) aims to accelerate the implementation of advanced boron neutron therapy technology in China and strengthen the company's strategic layout and long-term competitiveness in the upstream industry chain of boron neutron therapy.
