South-Indian states invite Midmark to set up unit

Midmark India, maker of medical equipment, is planning to set up its 15th center in the near future; the manufacturing unit is said to be set up in Andhra Pradesh or in Telengana.

Midmark (I) Managing Director Sumeet Aggarwal stated that “both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh invited the company to set up its unit in their respective states, however, the company has enough capacity available at its existing unit in Gujarat to meet the demands. The company is planning to invest Rs. 50 crores to expand its automation at the existence unit, mainly to come up with robotic welding and to improve precision and consistency”.

The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dayton-Ohio, US - Midmark Corporation. In the coming years, Midmark (I) is expecting major financial growth from tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India from products such as medical furniture, OPD spaces, and diagnostics.

In the coming months, the company is planning to open experience centers in Patna, Ranchi, Ahmedabad and Lucknow as well as in Bangladesh and Nepal.
