I. Saudi Arabia
SASO Certification: This certification involves pre-shipment inspection and conformity verification for products imported into the Saudi market, ensuring that imported goods comply with Saudi quality standards.
SABER Certification: A system introduced by Saudi Arabia for online application of customs clearance certificates. It is used for product registration, issuance, and obtaining Certificates of Conformity (COC). SABER certification includes a Product Certificate (PC) and a Shipment Certificate (SC). All goods exported to Saudi Arabia must apply for an SC through the SABER system before the goods arrive at the port.
II. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries
GCC Certification (G-MARK Certification): Applicable to the six Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. It requires products to comply with the unified Gulf Standards (GSO). Products such as low-voltage equipment, toys, and building materials are involved, and they need to pass tests conducted by GSO-authorized laboratories to obtain the G-mark identification.
III. United Arab Emirates
ECAS Certification: The conformity assessment system in the UAE, covering categories such as low-voltage equipment, energy efficiency labels, and cosmetics. It requires products to be labeled with energy consumption ratings, and those that fail to comply are prohibited from being listed on the market.
IV. Kuwait
TIR Certification: For each batch of goods exported to Kuwait, a Technical Inspection Report (TIR) or a "Customs Clearance Permission Document" must be submitted.
TER Certificate: Used to prove that products comply with Kuwait's regulatory requirements. Exporters need to conduct product testing and obtain a qualified test report before applying for this certificate.
V. Qatar
COC Certification: Products intended for export to Qatar must obtain COC certification. The regulated product range includes automotive tires, seat belts, electric fans, etc.
VI. Iran
COI Certification: Related to the mandatory legal inspection requirements for imports into Iran. Most industrial products, equipment, and machinery imported into Iran that fall within the COI list must undergo inspection and be issued with a certificate.
VII. Israel
SII Certification: The mandatory certification standard in Israel, which adopts a customs inspection and goods verification control method. If the importer obtains an SII certificate before shipment, the customs inspection process can be significantly shortened.
