On September 16, SSY Group announced that its ziprasidone mesylate has been approved by the NMPA of China for registration as an API used in marketed formulations. Ziprasidone mesylate is primarily used to treat acute agitation symptoms in patients with schizophrenia.
According to the announcement, SSY Group has built a leading second-generation antipsychotic HPAPI platform in China, covering blonanserin, lurasidone, ziprasidone hydrochloride, and the newly approved ziprasidone mesylate.
