On November 7, 2024, Shanghai, China - Today, Vantiv, a kidney care company that Baite Medical plans to spin off, held a launch ceremony for its new generation continuous blood purification equipment PrisMax at the 7th China International Import Expo. Mr. Wang Xiaoyu, Vice President of Emergency and Critical Care Business in China, and Ms. Liu Ying, Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Department in Asia Pacific and China, delivered speeches on behalf of Baite Medical, which plans to spin off its kidney care company. They unveiled the company's leadership team and strategic partners on site, and explained the insights of this locally implemented initiative in upgrading diagnosis and treatment services, responding to national policies, and enhancing clinical value.
As one of the advocates and industry leaders of the global concept of continuous blood purification, Vantiv has advanced emergency and critical care therapies that can support both kidney and other vital organ treatments. Its continuously upgraded PrisMax system can provide multiple therapies simultaneously, assisting in the management of acute kidney injury and providing vital organ support, bringing new hope for the treatment of life-threatening multiple organ failure patients.
With the incidence rate of kidney diseases such as acute kidney injury (AKI) rising year by year, the demand for continuous blood purification equipment in the Chinese market is also showing a trend of rapid growth. In order to actively respond to local medical needs, Vantiv has collaborated with global critical care experts to develop an innovative generation of localized continuous blood purification equipment PrisMax. The system is customized according to clinical needs in China and has been locally manufactured. It has the advantages of high dose achievement, minimal treatment interruption, and fast on-board operation. It will also bring better clinical personalized treatment to patients with acute kidney injury. While achieving precise treatment, it simplifies the workflow of clinical medical staff and helps improve the comprehensive operational efficiency of ICU and nephrology departments.
At the launch ceremony, Vantiv showcased the diverse application scenarios and treatment plans of PrisMax through demonstrations such as the PrisMax booth and the opening video show of China's "smart" manufacturing of PrisMax. In addition, the localization of PrisMax in China requires strong cooperation with Chinese strategic partners. Vantiv, together with China National Pharmaceutical Group's China Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. and Shangyao Holdings Co., Ltd., will assist in the journey of localizing PrisMax, inject strong momentum into clinical layout, and jointly create Vantiv's integrated business solution for critical illness blood purification. Together, we will help promote the sustainable and high-quality development of China's medical industry and move towards the vision goal of "Healthy China 2030".
Last year, PrisMax made its debut at the 6th CIIE and received widespread attention and anticipation. This year, we are honored to continue riding the wave of Bo Dongfeng and announce the launch of PrisMax in China Wang Xiaoyu, Vice President of Emergency and Critical Care Business at Baite Medical, who plans to spin off its kidney care company in China, shared: "Having been deeply involved in the CRRT industry for many years, Vantiv Emergency and Critical Care has achieved epoch-making treatment technologies such as AN69 series membrane materials and finished replacement fluid series, providing a full chain integrated treatment solution for critically ill patients. We believe that with the continuous efforts of our strategic partners, PrisMax will expand the accessibility of therapies, benefit more Chinese doctors and patients, and contribute to the future of multi organ critical care.
The launch of PrisMax, an innovative generation of localized continuous blood purification equipment, is another key milestone in Vantiv's development in China. In the future, Vantiv will continue to explore innovative diagnostic and treatment solutions based on diversified treatment scenarios, including innovative sepsis management methods, as well as life support functions for important organs such as the lungs and liver. With leading digital solutions and excellent services, Vantiv will enhance the dialysis and critical care treatment experience for Chinese patients.

Regarding Baite's plan to spin off Vantiv
Baite's kidney care business, including kidney care and critical care treatment, is being spun off from Baite and will soon become an independent private enterprise. The new company will be named Vantiv. In the future, Vantiv will focus on revolutionizing critical organ therapies and fulfilling the company's mission of "extending the journey of life and expanding infinite possibilities". In August 2024, Baxter announced an agreement with Carlyle to acquire Vantiv. It is expected that by the end of 2024 or early 2025, once the sale is completed after obtaining the necessary government approvals and meeting other delivery conditions, the new Vantive brand and its spin off from Baite will officially take effect. Prior to this, Vantiv will continue to operate as a part of Baite.
