Recently, PaceMate, a provider of cardiac remote monitoring solutions, announced that it has successfully acquired Medtronic's localized cardiac workflow solution Paceart Optima. However, the financial details of the transaction have not yet been disclosed to the public.
As an innovator of cardiac health data management solutions, PaceMate has gained wide recognition in recent years for its remote monitoring technology. The integration of the Paceart Optima system is expected to add nearly 1,000 new clinic partners worldwide.
For Medtronic, this divestiture is in line with its overall strategy of focusing resources on core innovation and therapeutic advances. PaceMate has further consolidated its market leadership and expanded its global influence by increasing the depth and breadth of its services. Next, Medtronic's cardiac rhythm management (CRM) business will work closely with PaceMate to ensure a smooth transition.
