According to recent foreign media reports, GE Healthcare announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Inteleraad for $2.3 billion (approximately RMB 15.87 billion).

GE Healthcare officially announced last November that it would acquire Inteleraad for $2.3 billion. Inteleraad, founded in 1999, reportedly possesses imaging software and digital enterprise workflow solutions, and has a significant presence in the outpatient healthcare field.

According to data from Yaozhi Medical Devices, Inteleraad currently has several marketed products in the United States. Of particular note is Inteleraad's ability to provide cloud-first products designed specifically for radiology and cardiology, covering both inpatient and outpatient medical environments. This is a major reason why GE Healthcare was willing to acquire Inteleraad for a hefty sum.
With the completion of the transaction, Intelerad will operate as part of GE Healthcare's medical imaging business, and GE Healthcare expects Intelerad to continue serving enterprise imaging solutions customers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Oceania.

Regarding this acquisition, GE Healthcare stated that it will further help it achieve its goal of tripling its cloud-enabled product portfolio by 2028. Furthermore, Inteleraad will allow it to expand its reach into high-growth specialist clinics and the growing outpatient healthcare environment, complementing its existing strengths in hospital-based imaging.

According to data from PharmNet Medical Devices, GE Healthcare currently has nearly 500 products on the market in the United States, and this extensive product portfolio provides a solid foundation for its revenue. On February 4th, GE Healthcare released its 2025 financial report, showing annual revenue of $20.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.8%, achieving stable growth. Specifically, its three core businesses—Imaging, Pharmaceutical Diagnostics, and Advanced Visualization Solutions—all achieved growth, driving the revenue growth.

In summary, this acquisition will help GE Healthcare build a comprehensive, cloud-first, AI-enabled imaging portfolio that will help reduce imaging infrastructure costs and shorten deployment time.

Furthermore, GE Healthcare anticipates that under its management, Inteleraad will generate approximately $270 million in total revenue in its first full year after the acquisition, with about 90% being recurring revenue. It also expects its adjusted EBITDA margin to exceed 30% and its revenue growth rate to accelerate.
