The forthcoming HIMSS Connected Health Conference in Boston: "Balancing Technology and the Human Element" is themed to showcase the importance of human touch in healthcare amidst the rising technology driven hospitals and medical facilities.
CHC 18 will be the second year of the event introducing collaboration between PCHAlliance Connected Health Conference and the Partners Connected Health Symposium, integrating their finest attributes for the conference, slated to kick-start on Oct. 17. The conference, to be held at Boston's Seaport World Trade Center, will include presentations, demonstrations, and panels that address the premise of balance by touching subjects like artificial intelligence, social robots, voice interfaces, and digital therapeutics along with added recognized promising technologies like telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, and patient-facing apps.
On day 1, i.e. "Immersion Day" participants can pick from a range of day-long activities. An all-day workshop for digital health developers and entrepreneurs, the "Standout Startups", will be hosted by PCHAlliance, a contest among 10 health start-ups bringing out the Health Tech Standout!
Parks Associates will conduct a morning assembly on connected health and the Internet of Things with an afternoon session emphasizing on the significance of behavior change in digital health: how to understand it and how to make it happen.
PCHA and Partners have an array of eminent speakers for the remaining event comprising the likes of Partners Vice President of Connected Health Joe Kvedar, HIMSS CEO Hal Wolf, and Wired Magazine contributor James Vlahos among others.
